Forbidden Dreams is a new seasonal highlight of Howlin’s winter collection.
It features a distinctive cable pattern inspired by the traditional Aran sweaters. The cable is influenced by the ropes used by fishermen. The Honeycomb represents the hardworking bee, as fishermen believe encountering a swarm of bees brings good luck. The Diamond symbolizes the treasures of the sea and success.
These sweaters originated from the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland. The sweater was originally crafted by women for their husbands, conveying a heartfelt wish for their safe return. The responsibly sourced wool comes from sheep that roam freely on the fells and downs of the British Isles. Every year they are sheared in the Spring months which helps rid them of potentially damaging infections and keeps them cool during the summer months.
